Mapping and marking trees

The activity focused on mapping the existing trees that are situated primarily on both natural sites. On Slovak side in the village of Veľké Úľany trees were mapped that are located in the forest park and also other areas as well. In the town of Jánossomorja trees were mapped that are located in the park and its surrounding. The trees were catalogued by the specialists on both sides of the border. That means that experts surveyed both sites and selected the 40 trees that are there and described them in their output. On the output information boards were produced presenting its class, Latin, Slovak and Hungarian name. These boards have stands are located at chosen 40+40 trees. In both towns a path of knowing the trees was created. So the project hence education of citizens.
